Instructions:
In order to Watch Movies you need to download QuitTime!!!
Click on one the Boxs below the Screen click the movie you want to watch, than click play! If it doesn't work Contact JessikaDarkstar!
The Correct Viewer Settings - These settings in Preferences can vary in where to find them.
Sound & Media
1. Make sure Media is checked Enabled in the volume mixer
2. Put a check mark in Allow Inworld Scripts to Play Media
3. Disable the Media Filter
Tips:
1. The SL Bandwidth should be set to a minimum of 1500 however 1750 is recommended. You can check this by going to your Preferences (Ctrl+P) , clicking on the Network tab. The Maximum Bandwidth is shown there. Default SL sets it to 500. So raise it up to at least 1500. Once done, you will need to restart SL for the change to take effect.
2. Clear your Cache daily (this is also found right below your bandwidth settings)
3. Keep your computer maintained, a slow computer will also be a factor ( defrag and disk clean up)
Are your movies still freezing? Once a movie starts, try pausing it for 5-10 minutes and then press Resume. This helps people with slower computers/connections. It allows the movie to buffer ahead, which allows you to have uninterrupted viewing.
TROUBLESHOOTING ISSUES
I tried to play the movie but I only see a white screen.
Check the viewer and make sure its a current non-beta viewer and there is no known issue with streaming media.
Go into your:
Open About Land, click the Media tab. There is a SET button there, press that. A url box should come up. Delete the URL in the box and try to play the movie again. Make sure that your QuickTime is up to date or not corrupted.
